Since 1938, thousands of college students have benefited through the student loan program created by the generosity of Claud A. Hatcher, President of Nehi Corporation which became Royal Crown Cola Company. Seventy-one years later the Fund still operates as a nonprofit private foundation providing student loans to qualified individuals who otherwise might not be able to attend college.
Due to the overwhelming success of this program and the demand for student loans, applications are no longer being distributed to first-time borrowers for the remainder of the 2010-2011 academic year. Distribution of applications to first-time borrowers will begin again January 2, 2011 for the 2011-2012 academic year that begins August 2011.
