What you need to submit to be considered for a student loan.
APPLICATION: Complete and return both the Student Loan Application and the Applicant Self-Certification form. You may send them by FAX or by mail. The HEOA Loan Application Disclosures are for your information and should not be returned with the application. You are encouraged to submit the application as soon as possible and then submit any other needed documentation.
TRANSCRIPT: A freshman applicant is to send an official high school transcript and ACT or SAT scores. Also, a freshman applicant with joint-enrollment credit is to send an official transcript from each college or university attended. All other classifications (Sophomore, Junior and Senior) need to send an official transcript from each college or university attended, but do not need to send a high school transcript and ACT/SAT scores.
LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE: An applicant entering a college or university for the first-time is required to provide an official letter of acceptance from the college or university shown on the application.
What happens after submitting an application?
You will receive written confirmation from us once your application has been received and reviewed for completion.
Applications are considered for approval once all criteria has been met and all required documentation has been received; subject to the availability of funds. Incomplete applications and those of unqualified applicants cannot be approved. All applications are subject to the approval of the Loan Committee of the Board of Directors in its sole discretion.
At the time you are notified your application has been approved, you will be sent a promissory note for the amount of your loan. The note, which will need to be signed by you and your endorser in the presence of a notary public, must be received and accepted by the Fund before a check can be sent to you.
